I’m an author, speaker, & podcaster HELPING OTHERS SEE THEMSELVES IN CHRIST by (1) overcoming the lies that create low self-esteem, (2) understanding how God sees us, and (3) learning to walk in our God-given authority!
- I know first-hand what unworthiness, guilt, and condemnation can do to a believer. Not being raised in a Christian home, I carried all my insecurities from the world into my walk with God when I was born-again at the age of 21.
After several years of struggling as a young Christian, God planted me square in front of the mirror one day and told me to tell the girl looking back that I loved her and forgave her. It was then I finally realized it wasn’t God who hadn’t forgiven me–I simply had never forgiven myself.
It was then that God began to speak to me about righteousness. I didn’t understand that word, much less the wealth of benefits contained within it. But my heart was hungry to know God’s Word and with each revelation, I was strengthened with Truth. It didn’t happen overnight, but I was transformed from an insecure, always-seeking-to-please-others girl to a confident lover of Jesus, His Word, His Spirit, and His righteousness.
Through the years, God surprised me with a gift to teach and minister His Word to others in a simple and easy-to-grasp-and-apply approach. It was birthed out of a sincere desire to help others find the same freedom I had found.
More specifically, what God put on my heart to share with others is the message of righteousness (that BIG sounding Bible word that summed up what He revealed to me in my mirror). I learned that what I originally thought was a “Daphne” problem is actually a “believer” problem.
So that’s what I do: I write, I speak, and I mentor others so they can take what they’ve learned and not only walk in freedom themselves but pass it on to their loved ones. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is what God wants every person to know.
I could say Mirror Ministries was founded that day in 1993 in front of my bathroom mirror; or possibly in October 2000, when God told me to “write it down” after seeing how powerfully He ministered to others through the message of righteousness. But officially, Mirror Ministries was recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization on January 26, 2006. Essentially, Mirror Ministries became the covering and launching pad of God’s assignment for me. My heart was to establish a ministry that helped people discover who they are in Christ.
So this is me. And I hope this ministry can help you see yourself the way God already sees you –in Christ!
