Faith It Until You Make It

Podcast Episode 003

You’ve heard the phrase, “Fake it til you Make it” but that’s not the best advice when it comes to learning your identity in Christ. Instead, we need to learn to FAITH IT until we make it!

In this week’s episode, Daphne had the privilege of interviewing Marie Myers on Identity Advantage. Rev. Marie (as we affectionately call her on the mission field) is a seasoned minister with a real gift of discernment and wisdom. You will be challenged and equipped by her answer to “What does identity mean to you?”

Following the interview, Daphne and Angie share their thoughts on:

  • Body language
  • Faithing it versus faking it
  • And pulling your identity from the inside-out

  1. Thank you for this podcast. I have been walking with the Lord for over 20 years now, and still – I need sometimes to remind myself who I am in Christ. I loved what Daphne said – we are not what we do – who we are first and foremost is a child of God. “Instead of trying to find the plan, find the man” is so true – and there are no short cuts – we must each be intentional about developing our relationship with the Lord – in that and through that comes the plan – like Rev. Marie said – on the path of obedience. Another point that really got my attention was Daphne talking about “missing the train”. Oh, my goodness – how I have struggled with that in recent years. God is the author of time – and He can redeem the time. What a promise – if we will only dare to believe. “Faith it ’til you make it” – I really like that – but also that it was tempered with the warning not to “fake it” – good question to ask ourselves on a regular occasion – “fathing it”- or “faking it”. One will leave us empty and barren – the other will bear fruit that will remain. Thank you again for sharing what God has put on your heart for this podcast – it was a huge blessing to me. God bless you all. 🙂

    • Cindy, thank you for taking a minute to comment! I’m glad to hear this week’s episode resonated with you. I’m certain God’s plan for you has not yet been exhausted! I’ve gone around that mountain myself and seen God’s faithfulness time and time again. So keep bearing fruit! “Faithing” it if you have to (until it’s a reality in your life)!

  2. I really enjoyed your topic, and your interview with Rev. Marie. A friend of mine from Houston knew I went to the Transformation Conference, and how much I enjoyed the speakers, so I emailed her the link to this show to hear 2 of the 5 featured speakers! I think she will enjoy it and she may become a regular listener. As always, Angie had some great input and insight after the interview. Great show!
Also, Daphne, 4 of us listened to your message, “Let it Rain”, on the way to Ft. Stockton for a prison crusade. We all loved it and learned from it. You are a great teacher!

    • Stephen, you’re a blessing! Thanks for helping spread the message of righteousness and identity. But as you know, it’s hard NOT to share once your life has been altered by Jesus 🙂

      • Yes, that is so true! But I am so glad He did not stop with just a few alterations; rather, it has been a total transformation! It is continuing on even today! God bless you, and all your family, including the new grandbaby coming soon! 🙂
