The Deception of Twilight

Manipulation. Enticement. Temporary fulfillment. Sounds like the making of a new Hollywood movie, but actually this describes ways in which the enemy lures us into his trap. Proverbs 7:9 says, “In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night…” danger was lurking.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie look in-depth at Proverbs, Chapter 7, and the subtle way in which the enemy deceives those who lack understanding (who are in the dark). In fact, the Bible warns us to guard our heart (where God’s Word hides). And interestingly, the word guard can also describe watching something carefully lest it escape.

The devil is working extra hard in today’s world to deceive both the wise and the foolish. And he’s very patient–because he knows that just as slowly as night creeps in at the end of day (twilight), so does deception.
