I’m Absolutely Convinced

Two words that play a very big role in our faith are: Persuade and Perceive. One means to cause to believe by appealing to your reason. The other means to become aware of through your senses. Faith is effected by both!

In this podcast, Daphne and Angie get fired up about the difference between believing and doubting. If you’re going to grow in faith, you’ve got to get a handle on what you believe and why.

The best scripture to encourage us in this area is found in Romans 8:38-39 which says, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Are you this convinced?

  • The distinction you made between doubt and disbelief is very helpful. Disbelief chooses not to start down the road of faith to conviction, or quits the journey once begun. Doubt, on the other hand, continues on down the road, in spite of lingering questions, being persuaded that answers are available and that they will come with perseverance.

    • Exactly! The devil has forever made believers feel defeated because they didn’t know the difference!
