What You See is What You Get

How do you see things? This is an important question because, according to Matthew 6:22, it determines everything else in your life!

In this week’s podcast, Daphne and Angie discuss “WSYIWYG” meaning, “What you see is what you get…” It’s not just a clever saying. It’s a truth that finds itself weaved into scripture.

Too many people are unhappy with life in general but don’t realize: “Life has no remote. You must get up and change it yourself.” In other words, no matter what’s been handed to you, it is possible to change the outcome! Jesus said, “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body (life) will be full of darkness…” (Matthew 6:22-23).

So, how are you seeing things?

  1. Oh, Daphne and Angie, I was really blessed by this. It’s so true. You shared so many golden nuggets. Just over a year ago, when I had actively stopped seeking a church that was more Spirit-filled, the Lord directed me to one about eight miles away. I didn’t know there were any Spirit-filled churches in the area. But now that the Lord has redirected my path, I am so blessed to be around people who are full of love, believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are here for us today

    • I believe so too! I’m glad you found a good church! It’s interesting what you said about when you stopped actively looking, God showed you one that was near you. That’s a good point because it would seem you needed to be actively looking, but in all actuality, sometimes when we’re not finding what we want, our perspective can become negative. When you stopped doing that, God gave you the desire of your heart which is both a testimony of His faithfulness and your new perspective to see differently! Love it!
