When I Think About the Lord Podcast Episode 065

We’ve repeatedly said, your life is greatly effected by what you think about. And this then has a major impact on your confidence, your attitude, your identity…

In this week’s podcast, Daphne and Angie talk about the lyrics of “When I Think About the Lord” (originally written by James Huey) and how important it is to pause and really think about how God saved us, how He raised us, how He picked us up and turned us around. When we set our thoughts on God, it creates a positive emotion that is often contagious.

The point is: you can think on God’s mercy and goodness or you can think on your mess. They’re both going to produce an outcome, but one will make you wanna shout!

  • There is hardly a day that passes without me being so very grateful for all HE has done in and through me. I am so thankful to be rescued from the dominion of darkness and welcomed into the Kingdom of Light, Christ Jesus, by Whom I have been redeemed and forgiven! Like you, when I think about the Lord, I am joyful, humble, and tearful all at once. Words really cannot express it. Obviously, I could really relate to your program. Daphne, I also agree with you about milk (for cereal only), but I love cold chocolate milk, and hot cocoa!!! We must be related!!!!

    • Stephen, I’m sorry I didn’t see your reply to this episode sooner! I have to agree with you about being rescued from the kingdom of darkness. When I first got saved, I had no concept this was even real. But once you’ve been delivered from it, you can’t help but rejoice! I think another song that summarizes these thoughts really well is “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me. When I think about the Lord, I can only imagine what I’ll do when I’m actually right before Him– cry? fall to my knees? rejoice? Probably all of the above and more!

      thanks for listening!
