Saturation

I want to keep it simple today and show you how to meditate on God’s Word.

Instead of reading scripture for memorization, why not read it for saturation? What I mean is, really meditate on each word in the sentence by giving it added emphasis. Let me show you:

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” (2 Corinthians 3:4).

This is already such an amazing scripture, but watch how God opens our understanding when we take time to meditate on each word:

And we have such trust through Christ toward God.” = insinuates in addition too…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = all of us; no one is exempt from this truth…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = not maybe, but definite; something we possess…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = added emphasis (which I love!), letting us know this isn’t a small thing…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = confidence, peace, rest; the opposite of fear…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = a designated path we should follow; definitely not accidental…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = our Savior, Lord, and King (must we say more?)…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God” = a definite and pointed direction…

“And we have such trust through Christ toward God = our Father, the One who loved us so much He sent His only Son that we might have eternal life…

Do you see how this works?

The Bible is rich and worth meditating on! With all the extra time you may be finding lately, I pray you slow down and really take time to saturate yourself in scripture. I know God will encourage your heart with every word.
