Are you aware of where and how this whole thing started? I’m talking about Christianity.
Here’s the story:
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:7-12)
Without discounting Creation or the Garden of Eden, we need to know this life we now live in Christ had its beginnings in heaven. Michael and his angels fought with the devil and his cohorts. And in a triumphant battle, the enemies of God were cast to the earth. There was a war that started there and continues here. But God has not left us without help. “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (1 Kings 6:16).
No matter what you are facing, you have heaven’s help on your side! You overcome by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of your testimony, and by a life sold out to God!
The devil has been a liar since the beginning of time. He is the father of lies. And he talks a lot of smack. I’m reminded of something my husband once said about a basketball player who was quite a bit smaller than the rest of his team. He said, “He may be small but he plays big.” This was a compliment to that young man, but I want to use the same thought in a different way.
The devil is small although he plays big.
Never be deceived by the devil’s “BIG” playing. “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). God was, is, and will always be the victor against the enemy.
So carry on empowered with the knowledge you are on the winning team!
Feeling’s, emotions, what we see and hear in this world is where he attacks us. He attack’s our past mistakes, we are not enough this, to much of that, where ever he can distract us away from who God say’s we are in Christ. He knows we have already won that’s the only thing we should agree with him about.
