The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance” (Psalm 33:12).
So what happens when the Christian majority is saddened that our nation, as a whole, doesn’t acknowledge or honor God? We recognize it for what it is…
Welcome to the End Times.
The Apostle Paul warned Timothy about the last days and what it would look like when righteousness was no longer a priority. He said, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
Listen, we didn’t wake up today to this kind of world– it’s been coming upon us like the fall of night. But many have been oblivious to the warning signs.
So, when we do become aware, what do we do?
Don’t Become a Scoffer
The enemy would love to shake the righteous to the point that they begin to doubt God, or the coming return of Jesus. Don’t fall for it! God will never forsake His people, no matter what things look like. But be aware of how some will respond in the End Times:
“Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For from before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was created'” (2 Peter 3:3-4).
From yesterday to today, nothing has changed in Heaven. God’s Word is still our authority and we should rejoice that God has given us His Word as a guarantee of things promised and things to come.
Remember, Not Everything in the Last Days is Bad
The enemy’s influence may be rising in power (for a short time) but God made a promise to His children:
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on my menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy” (Acts 2:17-18).
According to 1 Corinthians 14:3, any person who prophesies speaks edification, exhortation, and comfort to others. In other words, God has promised to pour out His Spirit on people to such a degree that there will be great encouragement being spoken and shouted from the rooftops that it won’t matter what evil is running rampant around us– we will remain reassured, inspired, hopeful, confident, optimistic, and fearless!
So, don’t be a grumbler today. Recognize these things must happen before Jesus returns. Determine to be one that will walk in the power of the Spirit regardless of the times. And at all cost, cling to what is good, right, and just.
“For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12).
“For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth” (Psalm 96:13).
Thanks Daphne that’s great revelation, I felt moved by at all cost cling. To our 1st love the one that loved us 1st. Glory to God!!!
You’re welcome 🙂 and amen!
