God-Inside-Minded, Part 3

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

It’s good to put ourselves in remembrance that we are not alone. And specifically, we’ve been reminded that because God has chosen our hearts to be His home on this earth, we need to always be more God-Inside-Minded.

So why is He with us?

Well, besides the fact that He loves us and wants to abide with us forever, the scriptures say, “…it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).We could say it is for His good pleasure that He chose to make our heart His home.

And if believers could really get a revelation of this, what could God truly accomplish through us? We wouldn’t be weak if we truly believed and operated our lives out of this revelation. We wouldn’t be depressed, oppressed, or any other such thing if we would just spend a little time in God’s Word uncovering these truths!

E.W. Kenyon had some of the greatest revelation in this area of any person I know. In his book, New Creation Realities, he said (concerning this lack of being God-inside-minded):

“It is the reason why in daily life, the believer breaks down, why the adversary has no trouble in overthrowing him in a crisis; the reason why he is a spiritual hitchhiker, always depending on someone else’s prayers, someone else’s wisdom, someone else’s interpretation of the Word… I am sorry for such folks. They have to be fed with milk all the time. You will find them in the nursery. They always have a bottle. Some of them have the wrong bottle. It is not filled with the sincere milk of the Word… they are ruled by their senses; …they have [sadly] become habitual, spiritual cripples.”

Let me be the first to say “ouch!” And then I’ll sadly agree with Mr. Kenyon. Christians have no ability to be God-inside-minded unless they’ve made large deposits of His Word within them.

But…

…for those in the Body of Christ who hunger for God’s Word and discover the truths of “Emmanuel, God with us,” life is limitless because the Limitless One lives within us!

Kenyon also accurately summed this up too: “[When we understand these truths] It doesn’t seem to me that we can ever be weak or failures again… You see, we swing out of the orbit of sense knowledge, out of the limitations of sense reason, into the realm of the supernatural.”

In other words, God is with you! God is in you! This makes you a “Super” man (or “Super” woman)! God has given you and I His strength (Romans 8:11), His wisdom (1 John 2:20), and His ability (2 Corinthians 9:8).So I say, think big, think bigger, because “…He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4)!

May you set your mind and focus on Him more and more each day.
